Fundamental things I believe about society and life
>_ We can't fix people, we can only love them.
>_ Hard things are always worthwhile.
>_ Knowledge is power.
>_ "One day" will never come, today is all we have.
>_ The human attention span decrease is the saddest loss of this decade.
>_ You vote with your attention and purchases, not at the ballet box.
>_ Intelligence is a myth and emotional maturity is all that matters, even in professional/technical pursuits.
>_ Decent financial freedom is a prerequisite for living deliberately, but no more than decent, for hedonic adaptation kicks in promptly.
>_ Time spent accumulating credentials (prestige) or following arbitrary social norms (status) doesn't lead to any meaningful outcome and is basically just lost forever.
>_ The only way to create something good is to create it for you to be proud of it afterwards, not for customers or for your audience.
Fundamental things I believe about software
>_ Software sucks.
>_ Users are not dumb.
>_ Reliable software delivers better UX than the best UI.
>_ Speed matters and developers experience is the only way to get good products.
>_ Computers don't make errors.
>_ Silicon valley has more companies than ideas.
>_ We need more calculators.
