Weeks #35 to #43

November 13, 2022 (2y ago, 18.93 y.o.)

Hey everybody 👋

It’s been so long since the last post I almost forgot how to write these.

Anyway, I hope y’all have been living peacefully and are getting closer to your goals while enjoying the journey 😊.

Think about it.

Everything comes down to people: understanding people, making their lives better, making their lives easier, giving them what they want but don’t yet know how to get (or don’t even know that’s what they really want at all).1

We live in a people world.

Writing/screenwriting, storytelling, business, leadership, startups, relationships (of course), art, everything comes down to understanding people.

🦉 Quotes of the weeks

Try to be useful, do things that are useful to your fellow human beings, to the world. It’s very hard to be useful, contributing more than you consume. Try to have a positive net contribution to society. If you live a useful life, that is a good life, a life worth having lived.— Elon Musk
Today is the first day of the rest of your life.— Abbie Hoffman
You don't enjoy when you get it easy.— My Calculus professor
Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn't supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.— Rainbow Rowell
I don’t do drugs. I am drugs.— Salvador Dalì
Have your own way. Stick to what you believe in.— James Ivory [when asked how to succeed in the cinema industry]
Pleasure for the sake of pleasure lowers your ‘level’ as a human being. It makes you less human and more animalistic.— Miyamoto Musashi
Doing the work required to hold an opinion means you can argue against yourself better than others can.— unknown
The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just have to find the ones worth suffering for.— Bob Marley
All of our miseries are nothing but attachment.— Osho
He who treads softly goes far.— Ancient Chinese
Hence my urgent advice to all of you is to reject the morals of the bestseller society and to find, to start with, your reward in your own fun. This is quite feasible, for the challenge of simplification is so fascinating that, if we do our job properly, we shall have the greatest fun in the world.Edsger W. Dijkstra
Most of life is a search for who and what needs you the most.— Naval
