Human History :: Future
---
Many of the things that we used to value very highly in education, like learning mathematics or learning engineering, are the things that AI will take over most easily.
If you're learning a relatively narrow skill and that narrow skill is mostly cognitive, it mostly has to do with either numbers or words or drawings on charts, these are the easiest things for AI to take over.
What really is more unique to humanity are skills or subjects that include not just intelligence, not just narrow cognitive skills, but also social and emotional skills and also motor skills, body.
If you think about martial arts, the mind is involved. You need to train your mind but you also need to train your body and you also need to train your social skills. When you compete with somebody or when you train with somebody there is another human beings there.
Anything that involves not just intelligence and cognition but also has a physical bodily element and also has an emotional and social element. This is much more likely to be still valuable in five or 10 years than a narrow intellectual or cognitive skill.
